Look at the stars. Aren’t they beautiful? Shining so bright in the huge darkness of the sky. Did you know that we look at the past while watching them? Most of the stars we see now don’t even exist today. We just see how they looked like millions of years ago. But their shine survives till now. And brings us joy in the darkness. No wonder people imagined every star is a human that passed away. Our loved ones die but their shine remains in our hearts and memory. And survives till now. And brings us joy in the darkness.
The next time you look at the night sky. Remember your loved ones. But don’t let the sadness overcome you. Be grateful for the shine of the stars. Be grateful for the shine of the dead.
Just feel love.

I wrote this piece for all people that lost a beloved person. My father died almost five years ago. It wasn’t easy for me and my family to adapt to the new situation. Everything changed and we had to begin a new chapter without him. I realized that all we have now are our memories. They are beauty. This is what connects us to the dead. It is pain but it is also joy.
